This service will enable the Android users to make calls through google talk with help of wi-fi and 3G or 4G networks. As per the Google Mobile Blog this new feature will be introduced with Google's Nexus S Android based Smartphone as a part of the Android 2.3.4 update. Other smartphones working on Google Android operating system will soon get update.
Google has challenged Apple's Facetime application which was launched with the iPhone 4 last year, as well as other applications like Skype and Fring. Google's video chat offers the advantage of connecting to the contacts from users Gmail account.
