比如你可以直接在Google Earth里同时查看与四川地震有关的图片及新闻报道（国外）：
点击新闻链接即可直接在Google Earth内置的浏览界面里打开源新闻，十分方便。尽管与之前的纽约时报新闻图层相比，Google News的时效性可能略差，但它胜在够全面。大家不妨一试。
补注：根据Google的数据，现在Google News上面有超过4500个新闻源，因此覆盖面很广。
