Google Earth新版及蟹状星云超新星爆发
　　Google于8月22日发布了具备SKY模式的Google Earth 4.2版后，由于存在不少bug，于是在本月13日，再次推出了修正版本。新的版本号为4.2.0198.2451(beta)。新版的改进包括了：

*SKY模式正式支持立体指点设备SpaceNavigator。
*修正了Spherical PhotoOverlays下的图像抖动的bug。
*实现了更平滑的SKY模式下的地点切换浏览。
*修正了PhotoOverlay崩溃的bug。
*把"Restrict time display to folder"默认值设为关闭。


　　Google Earth的在线升级检测一直都提示没有更新，因此你需要手动到Google Earth网站下载新版。

　　用新版Google Earth，你就可以坐下来静静欣赏蟹状星云的超新星爆发了。早在1054年，中国的天文学家就观测到了后来被证实是金牛座的蟹状星云有超新星爆发。如果你也想在Google Earth里重温，可以直接下载并在Google Earth里打开以下kmz文件（via GEB）：
