Gmail存档邮件有效期限问题：Google官方释疑

　　由于Gmail官方帮助文档表达上存在混乱，使Gmail存档邮件的有效期限在上周引起了广泛的关注及讨论。到底Gmail存档邮件的有效期是只有六年，还是比六年还长直至无限呢？上周我特地向Google相关人员求证过，现在终于有了官方的正式答复。答案就是"六年"只是一种玩笑式的说法，六年之后：

Nothing happens.

That should be read as, "if you need it six years (or even more) from now!"

　　很明显，Google官方证实，Gmail存档邮件的有效期并不是六年，而是比六年更长，直至无限（或Google倒闭，如果有那么一天）；六年之后，你的Gmail存档邮件仍然存在，不会被删除。同时，也间接证实了在Gmail帮助文档里，存在着不同语言间的翻译混乱。当前Google仍然没有更改帮助文档里的有关说明，不过我们已经可以放心了。

　　此外，Google还说：

After six years, we send you hard copies and then delete it.

　　还记得Gmail Paper么？Google今年愚人节的恶搞作品之一，说会免费帮Gmail用户将邮件打印出来，再寄给他们。Google在答复里说六年之后，Google将会帮你把邮件打印出来发送给你，然后才删除它们。well，这很明显又是另一个Google玩笑式的说法。:)
