GMail Drive shell extension是一个GMail使用辅助小工具。众所周知GMail空间超大，也有朋友用来储存的。而这个工具就是让你在你的电脑里创建一个虚拟硬盘目录，直接把GMail邮箱当作你的一个硬盘目录使用。这样当你想管理你的GMail邮箱里的的时候，只需在你的电脑双击这个工具所创建的目录，就可以方便的进行。这样就相当于把GMail的空间做成你的个人网络硬盘了。

17 Sep update: Google restructured the Gmail login procedures again and previous versions of the tool fail to log in. The new version also adds the ability to double-click to launch files and FileOpen dialog support.
大概意思是说由于GMail更改了登录的程序，之前的版本都失效了。这个新版本重新支持了GMail的登录方式。
